Why 1 Day ban on NDTV India news channel

Irrespective of all who supporting or not supporting #NDTVBan, watched or wouldn't have watched the show for which 1 day ban is imposed on NDTV. They all know the below info in common:

1. It wasn't a live coverage but a reporting.
2. It wasn't only NDTV but many other national channels who broadcast the same report of coverage of the Pathankot.

Coming to the point #1: A careful examination of legality of ban on any cable channel shows that the ban is on ' live coverage ' of anti terrorist operations of the security forces, ( vide para 6 of the Programme Code of the Cable TV Network Rules, 1994 ) and not on reporting of anti terrorist operations. There is a clear distinction between the two. NDTV did not show any live coverage of the anti terrorist operations, but only reported about them.

Now to the point #2: If there are other news channels who broadcast the same Anti Terrorist Operations of Security forces, why not impose the same ban, why a selectivity?

This one-day ban on leading Hindi TV channel NDTV India by the Centre over its coverage of the Pathankot thus drew sharp condemnation both from opposition parties and media bodies, being called “shocking and authoritarian” and reminiscent of the Emergency days.

The Editors Guild of India condemned the order as a “direct violation” of the freedom of the press, and similar sentiments were expressed by the Broadcast Editors’ Association (BEA). NDTV, while terming the order as “shocking”, has alleged that it has been “singled out” and said it is examining all options in the matter.

The Editors Guild of India strongly condemns the unprecedented decision of the inter-ministerial committee of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to take NDTV India off the air for a day and demands that the order be immediately rescinded.

The decision to take the channel off the air is a direct violation of the freedom of the media and, therefore, the citizens of India, and amounts to harsh censorship imposed by the government reminiscent of the Emergency, the Guild said in a statement.
The BEA, while expressing deep concern at the government's decision, said that imposing a ban is a violation of the freedom of expression.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also lashed out at the Centre, asking if these were the promised "achhe din (good days)".

" Mother, I bow to thee!
Rich with thy hurrying streams,

Cool with thy winds of delight,

Padma Shri Arunachalam Muruganantham - Innovator of low cost sanitary napkins

Update: Bollywood Hindi Film "Pad Man" starred by Akshay Kumar is inspired by the true story of this man Arunachalam Muruganantham.

He is the inventor of a low-cost sanitary pad making machine and has innovated grass-roots mechanisms for generating awareness about traditional unhygienic practices around menstruation in rural India. He invented a set of machines which manufacture sanitary pads for women at a lower price and the best part is that he is employing women to make these pads, thus creating job opportunities for them.
