5 best natural habitats and places to see in India

India one of the most diversed in geographical and climatic conditions, this diversity makes India the most suitable place for floras to flourish be it the beautiful flower valleys of Badrinath in Uttarakhand or valley of flowers, Pune in Maharashtra. India is also a safe and subtle habitat for varied faunas. India is full of natural sight seeing and natural habitats which almost everyone wish to visit in their life time.
Though there are number of natural habitats which comes under must see in India. I have enlisted five among them which is considered really the host spots for natural landscape beauty lovers.

1.Majuli of Assam

Majuli or Majoli is the largest river island in the world, it is also one of the most beautiful river island in India. Majuli is also the abode of the Assamese neo-Vaishnavite culture.
This large river island in the Brahmaputra river, in Assam, India had a total area of 1,250 sq km in 1853, but having lost significantly to erosion it has an area left to only 421.65 sq km.
The island is formed by the Brahmaputra river in the south and the Kherkutia Xuti, an anabranch of the Brahmaputra, joined by the Subansiri River in the north. Majuli island is accessible by ferries from the City of Jorhat. The island is about 200 kilometres from Guwahati.


2. Ratnagiri of Maharashtra

Ratnagiri district a port city on the Arabian Sea coast of Maharashtra, India. This offers the most diverse attractions for the tourists. The district is endowed with many tourist assets. The rising hills of Sahyadri on east and the depths of Arabian sea on the west. Ratnagiri host beautiful hills, sea shores, creeks, rivers, hot water springs, forests and water falls among many others.
Some must to see places in Ratnagiri includes Thibaw Palace, Bankot, Mandangad, Jaigad, Ambolgad, Ratnadurg, Mahipatgad and to some caves like panhalekazi and sangameshwar.
For natural landscape you can visit to beautiful Sahyadri hill ranges. Prachitgad, Parshuram and Marleshwar for waterfalls. Unhavare, Aravali, Tural and Rajapur for hot water springs. You can also visit beaches like Mandovi, Bhatye, Guhagar, Anjarla, Ganpatipule.
Some place of worship in this districts includes famous Ganapatipule temple, Velneshwar temple, Marleshwar temple , Hedvi,  Urus of Pir Babarshekh at Hatis, Parshuram and Rajapur


3. Satpuda/Satpura Range of Central India (Madhya Pradesh)
The Satpuda Range is a range of hills in central India covering Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and  Chhattisgarh. The range divide Indian Subcontinent into the Indo-Gangetic plain of northern India and the Deccan Plateau of the south. The Narmada River originates from north-eastern end of Satpuda. The Tapti River originates from eastern-central part of Satpuda. The Godavari River and its tributaries drain the Deccan plateau, which lies south of the range.  Mahanadi River drains the easternmost portion of the range
Places to visit near by this range are Melghat Tiger Reserve, Chikhaldara, Barwani, Bagh caves, Toranmal, Panchmarhi valley, Pench Tiger Reserve, Satpuda national park, Kanha national park and bori wildlife sanctuary.

4. Western Himalayas of North India
Western Himalayas includes a long list of natural habitats.
Some of the places you would not like to miss are colonial history of Shimla, Tibetan culture at Dharamsala, the Sikh’s Golden Temple in Amritsar, Hindu ceremony on the Ganges.
For natural habitats you can visit to places like Rishikesh, Dachigam National Park (J&K) and Valley of Flowers (Uttarakhand), Shimla, Dhauladhar Mountains in Dharmshala.

5. Evergreen montane forests of North East India
North-eastern part of India is full of lush green, deep tropical and montane forests. Some of the best natural habitats, national parks, wildlife sanctuaries in these regions you can visit: Namdapha Tiger Reserve, Kaziranga National Park, Orang National Park, Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, Manas national park, Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary and Keibul Lamjoa National Park.
