Free Voice for Homosexuality in India

Even today it is considered a taboo to be gay. Many fancy gays’ as mere confusion, forget about accepting the sexual orientation. These days since the passing of section 377, homosexuality seems to be new talk of the town. Initially, hardly did people know what it actually meant.
So, how did homosexuality come along? What actually is this? These are curiosities emerging in every other mind believe it or not.

Sexual preferences are usually hormonal and emerge right from puberty.
Some say a tragic incident happened in past can affect your orientation some others fancy it being a disease and the rest so called ‘straight’ people just loathe gays.
And by gay I mean homosexual men, women, not to forget even bisexuals and transgender.
Love all; Serve all is not just a saying. It’s a message by God to mankind asking them to love every being.
Homosexuality existed way before today and this is evident in Kamasutra book wherein the mention of sexual positions between gays is.
{Source: Wikipedia "While homosexuality has not been explicitly mentioned in the religious texts central to Hinduism, the largest religion in India, Hinduism has taken various positions, ranging from positive to neutral or antagonistic. Rigveda, one of the four canonical sacred texts of Hinduism says Vikriti Evam Prakriti ( विकृतिः एवम्‌ प्रकृतिः  ) (what seems un-natural is also natural), which some scholars believe recognizes the cyclical constancy of homosexual/transsexual dimensions of human life, like all forms of universal diversities. Historical literary evidence indicates that homosexuality has been prevalent across the Indian subcontinent throughout history, and that homosexuals were not necessarily considered inferior in any way."}
The only reason why gays do not come out in public is because, they are scared, scared of ill-treatment, scared of getting banned from the society. Why? It isn’t a contagious disease, just a sexual preference. It’s pure science.
Can you give an exact count of gay lives being spoiled on family pressure of getting hitched?
Can you give a measure of the pain these guys STILL have in their hearts because they COMPROMISED and are STILL COMPROMISING.
Can you tell me how you react if you come to know that your sister/brother is gay?
Will you force them get married to opposite sex, hit them, hurt them or do you want them to be happy, live life the way they want?
I am sure few readers may think ‘Why do we care?’ some others ‘I will support him/her’
For that matter supporting/helping your gay pal is not a big or tough thing to do.
You just have to tell them ‘No matter what, I am there for you’
They need love, for that matter we all need love.
And love is a weapon, powerful enough to drive the best out of you. Imagine you supporting, just giving a basic support to your gay friend and he/she makes it big tomorrow. How would that feel?
India is a developing country, to make it developed country few pending changes (pending from decades need to be done) and one of them being accepting homosexuality and openness by thought and vision.
Although section 377 is implemented, it’s not fully accepted in our country. This needs to be changed. Else India will remain called the narrowed visionaries, for a country which has a narrow mentality, future don’t seem subtle to them.
Nothing much is expected actually just BE GOOD.
For example, if a gay guy likes you, do not be rude enough to let him feel that he has no right to live in this world. Rather befriend him, make him feel you are there for him in need. Even the wildest of animals can be tamed, and he is just gay for that matter. You could politely tell him your sexual preferences differ, but that does not stop you from befriending him. He’ll be so happy with your gesture, that it’ll help him achieve laurels in life. And you have played the role of a good human too.
Our country portrays gays as weak, girly-pinky dressed desperate men who are scary and awful. It’s not the actual case. For that matter, some gays can’t be recognised.
Would you believe if I say Barney Stinson aka Neil is gay. So what? Will the fan-following reduce, will the show TRP’s go down? Absolutely ‘NO’, simply because, A man is recognized by his work, his character and not by sexual orientation.
I ain’t biased towards gays, but I feel they need support. Support to not feel being gay means end of the world, support strong enough to not let suicide rates hike, support to have guts and come out to public, support to get equal rights not only by law, but also in practicality.
Developed countries such as USA have special LGBT community(Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender rights), strong enough that even if you pass a hurting comment to a gay’ you are jailed. yup that strong is the rule and RESPECT for gay man.
Although India too has LGBT community, and there are few people out there ready to help, overall country has YET not accepted homosexuality.
Gay count is still unknown, life for gays is almost miserable. Those rich manage to hide under wraps, and others either give up on life or are a subject to entertainment and fun.
EVERYONE HAS A RIGHT TO LIVE, YOU, ME, EVEN HOMOSEXUALS.
INDIA will surely develop when it treats it’s people equally, in terms of gender, caste, creed, religion and equally important, the sexual orientation.
